Another Haul!

Dollar Tree Beauty Haul

I know that I said in my last haul I wasn't planning on buying any more makeup for a while, but then I heard that Dollar Tree had been selling brand-name makeup, and I didn't want to miss out on that! The makeup section in my dollar tree is pretty small, but I did find some of the brand-name makeup, including the thing I was hoping they had the most! Everything I show cost me a dollar USD at Dollar Tree.

First off, I got some Milani lip glosses. You can't find these on the Milani website, so they're probably discontinued. You may still be able to find them at your local Dollar Tree, though! There were only these three colors that I could see, so I got all of them. I've never tried Milani products before, but I've heard lots of good things. There were no color names on these.

These are what I was really hoping they'd have at my Dollar Tree, and they did! They only had two colors, but that's fantastic seeing as I didn't expect them to have any. The colors are 02 Pink Rave and 04 Violet Addict.

Next I got a tube of Carmex because I've heard it's good for chapped and cracked lips like mine. It seems like everybody but me has tried it.

I got these Dollar Tree brand (I think) lip glosses because they're colorful and the flavors sounded nice. I'm not expecting much from them, but they'll be cute to have on display at the very least.

After that I picked up a Palmer's lip balm to try out. I've heard it's good, so I wanted to test that out for myself.

Next up are these ChapIce lip balms that I got because watermelon and blue raspberry are two of my favorite artificial flavors. Plus it comes with three in a pack, which is a good deal.

Then I purchased a little Nivia cream tin because I love Nivea products and had yet to try this one out. Their body lotion and lip butters are great, so I expect that this will be too.

Next I got two Milani liquid eyeliners in 04 Emerald Glisten and 05 Sparkling Turquoise. I only have these colors of eyeliner in gel and pencil form, which I don't use as often as liquid, and I often find myself wanting fun colors of liquid eyeliner, so I got these.

After that I grabbed a pair of Sassy + Chic "fashion" eyelashes. I have enough false lashes already but I wanted to test these ones out.

Next up is this Milani nail polish in Canyon Country. I don't have a color exactly like this in my collection, so I decided to pick it up.

Here are the Essie nail strips/stickers I got. When I saw these I got super excited, because Essie nail polish is $8.50 USD a bottle, so these were probably originally somewhat expensive too. I can't find them on the Essie website, but I assume that they would usually cost more than a dollar.

Next I got some Sassy + Chic nail strips/stickers that I thought were super cute. I currently have a broken nail so I can't wear them yet, but I plan to as soon as it heals.

Then I got this Revlon nail art thing. The orange side is a bit separated but a good shake fixed that. Both of these colors looked nice so I decided to get it.

Next I got some Global Beauty Care cleansing cloths because although I'm not running out of makeup remover wipes quite yet, it's always good to stock up. I don't know for sure if these will remove makeup, but I hope they do.

Lastly I got some foot cream and body wash. My feet have been dry lately, and I wanted a new body wash, so I got these. The foot cream doesn't have a scent and the body wash smells lovely.

Mascara Review

Covergirl Super Sizer Mascara Review

A month or so back, I went to Walmart and got some makeup, including this mascara. I had heard good things about it and wanted to try it out. I have the shade Black and you can buy it here for $6.85 USD.

Here's the tube. I like the packaging. Nothing fancy, but it doesn't look cheap either.

Here are my eyelashes before curling them and applying mascara...

...and here they are after. The picture isn't great quality, but you can see a difference. This is after just one coat of mascara, and you can already see more volume. I prefer volume over length when it comes to mascara, so this one is perfect. Definitely worth the price, and probably the best mascara I've ever used. It comes off pretty easily with a makeup wipe, and since it's not waterproof you don't need special ones that remove waterproof makeup. There's minimal clumping, and although it adds very little length, it adds plenty of volume, especially if you apply more layers. I tend to stick to one layer, but it is buildable. The one thing I have to say that isn't so great is that I find it hard to use on my lower lashes, but that might just be because I'm bad at applying mascara to my lower lashes in general.

Matte Palette First Impression

Makeup Revolution Redemption Eyeshadow Palette Essential Mattes First Impression

In my recent Ulta haul, you may have seen a couple of palettes. I've decided to do a first impression on this one, as well as some swatches. You can buy the palette here for $7.00 USD.

Here is the palette. It comes with 12 pretty shades, all matte. The texture is smooth and a bit buttery, although there are some "crumbs" that come off when you rub your finger in the shadows. For seven bucks, the quality is better than I expected, but we'll have to wait and see about their lasting power.

Here are six of the shades...

...and here are the other six. Most of them show up this pigmented with one swatch, but I went over some of the lighter shades twice so they'd show up better on camera. They have medium to high pigmentation, depending on the shade. The darker shades show up more pigmented, which I find to be pretty normal. I'm excited about trying out the blue-grey shade, as I don't own anything like it at the moment. I'm not sure how much use I'll get out of the lighter shades, but even if I only use half of the colors, this palette will still be worth the money to me.

Haul!

Ulta Haul

I recently bought some makeup from Ulta and I wanted to do a haul for my blog, so here it is! I don't plan on buying new makeup anytime soon, so this will probably be the last haul for a while. I may do a no-buy, so I'll post about it if that happens. I got my order in two shipments, which was funny because I got two items - a lipstick and a single eyeshadow - in a box that was way too big for jus those things. Now, on to the haul!

Here are the samples I got. Since I got my order in two shipments, I got some extra samples. I also got a few perfume samples, but I didn't include them as they're just the kind where you sniff the paper. I'm glad I got the primer samples as I've wanted to try both of those primers, and I'm very excited about the big shampoo sample! I've never gotten a sample this big before, and I certainly didn't expect it. I'm running out of my current shampoo so it will be good to have a new one to try out.

Since I purchased $10.00 USD worth of Essence products, I got a free Essence Lash Princess mascara, usually $4.99 USD. I don't really need any more mascara right now but it's good to have an extra around for when I run out.

I got these foundations buy one get one half off, and they were the main reason I made the order. I'm running out of my current one of these so I wanted a backup, and then I took advantage of the buy one get one half off deal. I'm in the shade 110 Porcelain and they regularly cost $7.99 USD.

The Urban Decay Primer Potion was on sale for $10.00 USD (normally it's twenty) and I've been wanting to try it out for a while, so I decided to get it. I've heard so many good things about it that I've been tempted to get it many times, but I'm glad I waited until it was on sale, because I saved some money.

Next I got this Essence Gel Eyeliner, which costs $3.99 USD. I got it in the shade 01 Midnight In Paris, which as far as I can tell is the only shade. Somehow, I didn't own a black gel eyeliner, so I decided that it was time to finally get one.

After that, I got an Essence 3D Eyeshadow in the color Irresistible First Love. It costs $3.49 USD. I can't wait to try it out, especially the pink shade. I don't have a pigmented light pink in my collection so if this is any good, it'll be a good addition.

I also got two Revlon ColorStay ShadowLinks in the colors Copper and Gold. I don't have a copper or a gold eyeshadow, so I wanted to get some. The cool part is that they link together, so you can make your own custom palette with them! I may buy more in the future if I end up liking them. They cost $2.99 USD each normally, but they were also buy one get one half off.

Next I got the Iconic 3 Redemption palette from Makeup Revolution. It costs $7.00 USD, and it is GORGEOUS. I think it's supposed to be a dupe of the Naked 3 palette, but I don't own that one so I can't compare them. All of the shades look like something I would totally wear and I can't wait to try it out.

I also purchased the Essential Mattes Redemption palette from Makeup Revolutions. It costs $7.00 as well. I bought it because I feel like I need more matte eyeshadows, and all of these shadows are matte.

Lastly, I bought an Essence Longlasting Lipstick in Coral Calling. It costs $2.99 USD. I noticed that despite having far too many lipsticks for one person, I didn't have a single coral lipstick, and this one looked pretty, so I got it. I'm excited about trying it out!

Lipstick Swatches and Review

Wet' n' Wild MegaLast Lipsticks Review and Swatches

I have seven out of 26 of these lipsticks, and I decided that after having some of them for over six months, it was time to review them. I will probably get a few more shades eventually, but I can't find the shades I want in any stores, and I'm thinking of doing a no-buy anyways. They cost about $1.99 USD and you can find them in Rite Aid and Walmart.

I love them! They can be a bit stiff at first, but once you start using them they soften up and go on pretty smoothly. They last for up to six hours without any touch-ups. I find that they can be a bit drying but wearing a lip balm underneath will solve the problem. They're well worth the two dollars in my opinion. From left to right, these are the shades Bare It All, Just Peachy, Dollhouse Pink, Don't Blink Pink, 24 Carrot Gold, Red Velvet, and Stoplight Red.

Here they are swatched on my arm. My favorites are Just Peachy and Stoplight Red.

Here is Bare It All on my lips. Nudes tend to wash me out but I can actually get away with this one. Not a color I would wear every day (I love bright colors) but maybe with a bright colored eye.

This is Just Peachy. It looks like what it sounds like - a peach color. I think it really flatters my skin tone and color. It's really a true peach.

Here's Dollhouse Pink. It's a bright blue-toned pink. I would call it a Barbie pink. It looks nice in the tube but it doesn't really suit me when I put it on my lips, so I don't wear it often.

Next up is Don't Blink Pink. It's a lovely bright hot pink that I think really flatters my skin color and tone.

This is 24 Carrot Gold on my lips. It's a true carrot orange, which I love. I like bright colors when it comes to makeup and life in general, so this is perfect for days when I want a pop of extra color.

Here is Red Velvet. It's a bright orange-based red. Orange reds don't look quite as good on me as blue reds, but it still looks nice.

Finally, we've got Stoplight Red. It's a mid-toned blue red. It's one of my favorite shades for everyday wear.

Lip Shimmer First Impression

Wet' n' Wild Natural Blend Lip Shimmer First Impression

In my recent Rite Aid haul, you may have seen that I got these. I'm really excited about them but it's too early to give a review, so I'm starting with a first impression. They cost $1.99 USD and you can get them at some Rite Aids and Walmarts.

From left to right, here are the colors Sugar, Berry, and Spice. They come in two more colors (Frost and Cocoa) but they didn't look like colors I would end up wearing so I didn't get them.

Here they are in the same order swatched on my hand. Sugar is quite sheer, while Berry and Spice are quite pigmented.

This is Sugar on my lips. A bit sheer but still very pretty and shimmery. I'm not huge on shimmer but I love Wet' n' Wild so I wanted to try these out.

Here's Berry on my lips. More pigmented and a tiny bit less shimmery.

This one is my favorite, Spice. A little more pigment and a little less shimmer once again.

Let me know if you're interested in a review of these in a week or so once I've tried them more! Also feel free to comment a link to your blog if you also post about makeup and want me to check it out!

Lip Balm Review

Lip Balm Review

I recently got these lip balms for a dollar each from ShopMissA, and let me tell you, they are some of THE most hydrating and moisturizing lip balms I've ever tried. The main ingredient is Vaseline, so they are a bit greasy, but they contain aloe, which is healing. They work great for my usually dry and chapped lips. They hydrate and moisturize permanently, rather than for a few hours before drying out your lips even worse, like many other lip balms. The watermelon is my favorite, because I love artificial watermelon scent and flavoring. They all smell like the artificial version of the scent they claim to be, but I was expecting this from something so cheap. They leave my lips feeling soft and smooth for hours after use, and they're my current holy grail lip balm.

Haul!

Rite Aid Haul

I was bored today, so I decided to head to Rite Aid to see what kind of sales were on. Lucky me, there was 40% off Wet' n' Wild products if you have a Plenti card, which I do! I've been obsessed with lip balm lately, so I also picked up some new lip balms I've wanted to try out. A few lip balms were on sale if you have a Plenti card as well!

I didn't have any colors like these, so I picked up a couple of Wet' n' Wild nail polishes in the colors Wet Cement (left) and Private Viewing (right). I've been noticing that despite my giant nail polish collection, I'm lacking nice neutrals like these, and these were only $1.19 USD each because of the sale.

I already have five Wet' n' Wild MegaLast lipsticks, but I didn't have these two yet. Bare It All is on the left, and Red Velvet is on the right. I don't tend to look good with nude shades but I thought that Bare It All might be an exception, and for $1.19 USD (regularly $1.99), I feel like you can't really go wrong.

I also got these Wet' n' Wild Natural Blend Lip Shimmers in Sugar (left), Berry (middle), and Spice (right). There were five colors at my Rite Aid, but these three appealed to me the most. I'll probably do a review on these once I've tried them out. I've never seen these before, but they didn't say new on them, so I've probably just been missing them. They were $1.19 USD each with the sale.

Next I picked up a couple of Nivea Lip Butters. I've heard good things about them and I wanted to try them out. Plus they were on sale for two for five dollars, so they were only $2.50 USD each! They both smell super nice.

Lastly, I grabbed an EOS Medicated Lip Balm in tangerine. It smells lovely, and it cost me $3.59 USD. I think it's usually more at Rite Aid, but I have lots of Plenti Points so I saved some money. It's a bit pricey for a lip balm, so I hope it's really good. This is the first time I've ever had my own EOS lip balm, and I've heard mixed reviews, so I hope that I'm one of the ones that likes them!

That's all for today's haul! Let me know if you want swatches or reviews of anything I purchased. I'm planning on doing a swatch and review of the MegaLast lipsticks soon!
