Another Ulta Haul?

Another Ulta Haul!

I know that my last post was an Ulta haul, but an actual Ulta just opened up near me, and I've never been inside an Ulta before, so of course I had to do some shopping. I also got some makeup wipes at Ross, but I decided not to include pictures of those. If they end up working well (or terribly) then I'll do a review.

The first thing I picked up was the Covergirl Ultra Smooth foundation in 805 Ivory. It's a little bit dark for me, but if I blend it well and only apply a sheer layer it still works. I got it because I thought the applicator was interesting. It's a silicon-feeling oval, and the directions say to apply product onto the applicator first, then the face. I'll probably do a first impressions and review of it because it's so interesting to me. It cost $6.99 USD.

The next thing I got was the Maybelline Dream Wonder Fluid-Touch foundation in 10 Porcelain Ivory. It looks too dark and too yellow for me in the swatch, but it's actually not bad on my face once it's blended out. I've been wanting to try it for a while now, and it was on sale for $4.99 USD, so I decided to finally get it. It feels like it's not there at all while still providing decent coverage, but I have yet to wear it for a full day.

The last face product I got was the NYX HD Concealer in 10 Porcelain. It was $4.99 USD. I've heard a lot of good things about it, so I'm glad I found it in a shade that matches me pretty well. Almost all of the foundations and concealers I swatched in the store were too dark for me, even though I always went for the lightest shade. There wasn't a tester for this one, but it looked light enough, so I got it anyways.

Next up is a NYX Love in Rio eyeshadow trio in Nighttime in Rio. I got it for $2.99 USD (I believe it was on sale) and the colors are lovely. They aren't super pigmented, but they aren't so bad that I can't easily work with them. They had a lot of eyeshadow trios but this is the one that appealed to me the most.

Next, I got an Essence Eyebrow Designer pencil in 04 Blonde. I find it difficult to find the right eyebrow products because my eyebrows are rather greyish, and the majority of eyebrow products are reddish or brownish. Since this was only $1.99 USD, I decided to just go for it and hope it works.

Moving on to lip products, I got an Ulta Matte Lip Cream in the shade Artistic. It's a pretty nudeish pink and I got it for $4.00 USD because it was on sale. I'm not huge on liquid lipsticks, and this claims to dry matte, but it didn't seem to do that when I swatched it in the store, so I decided to get it. I find most liquid lipsticks too drying for my already easily-chapped lips, so hopefully this one won't be.

Next I got a NYX Butter Lipstick in Pops. It's a pretty pinky-brown nude that I thought looked nice on my skin color and tone. Most nudes wash me out, but this one actually looks nice, and I got it for just $3.99 USD.

Lastly, I got this Essence clear Lash and Brow gel mascara for $2.99 USD. I need a brow mascara, and I'm never sure what color to get, so I went for clear instead.

Haul!

Ulta Haul

I recently bought some makeup from Ulta and I wanted to do a haul for my blog, so here it is! I don't plan on buying new makeup anytime soon, so this will probably be the last haul for a while. I may do a no-buy, so I'll post about it if that happens. I got my order in two shipments, which was funny because I got two items - a lipstick and a single eyeshadow - in a box that was way too big for jus those things. Now, on to the haul!

Here are the samples I got. Since I got my order in two shipments, I got some extra samples. I also got a few perfume samples, but I didn't include them as they're just the kind where you sniff the paper. I'm glad I got the primer samples as I've wanted to try both of those primers, and I'm very excited about the big shampoo sample! I've never gotten a sample this big before, and I certainly didn't expect it. I'm running out of my current shampoo so it will be good to have a new one to try out.

Since I purchased $10.00 USD worth of Essence products, I got a free Essence Lash Princess mascara, usually $4.99 USD. I don't really need any more mascara right now but it's good to have an extra around for when I run out.

I got these foundations buy one get one half off, and they were the main reason I made the order. I'm running out of my current one of these so I wanted a backup, and then I took advantage of the buy one get one half off deal. I'm in the shade 110 Porcelain and they regularly cost $7.99 USD.

The Urban Decay Primer Potion was on sale for $10.00 USD (normally it's twenty) and I've been wanting to try it out for a while, so I decided to get it. I've heard so many good things about it that I've been tempted to get it many times, but I'm glad I waited until it was on sale, because I saved some money.

Next I got this Essence Gel Eyeliner, which costs $3.99 USD. I got it in the shade 01 Midnight In Paris, which as far as I can tell is the only shade. Somehow, I didn't own a black gel eyeliner, so I decided that it was time to finally get one.

After that, I got an Essence 3D Eyeshadow in the color Irresistible First Love. It costs $3.49 USD. I can't wait to try it out, especially the pink shade. I don't have a pigmented light pink in my collection so if this is any good, it'll be a good addition.

I also got two Revlon ColorStay ShadowLinks in the colors Copper and Gold. I don't have a copper or a gold eyeshadow, so I wanted to get some. The cool part is that they link together, so you can make your own custom palette with them! I may buy more in the future if I end up liking them. They cost $2.99 USD each normally, but they were also buy one get one half off.

Next I got the Iconic 3 Redemption palette from Makeup Revolution. It costs $7.00 USD, and it is GORGEOUS. I think it's supposed to be a dupe of the Naked 3 palette, but I don't own that one so I can't compare them. All of the shades look like something I would totally wear and I can't wait to try it out.

I also purchased the Essential Mattes Redemption palette from Makeup Revolutions. It costs $7.00 as well. I bought it because I feel like I need more matte eyeshadows, and all of these shadows are matte.

Lastly, I bought an Essence Longlasting Lipstick in Coral Calling. It costs $2.99 USD. I noticed that despite having far too many lipsticks for one person, I didn't have a single coral lipstick, and this one looked pretty, so I got it. I'm excited about trying it out!

Baby Lips Review

Baby Lips Electro Lip Balm Review

A very long time ago I was gifted two Baby Lips Electro Lip Balms in the shades Pink Shock and Oh! Orange. You can buy them here for $3.99 USD each.

Here they are side by side. My favorite is the orange one because orange is one of my favorite colors, and it leaves a nice sheer orange tint on the lips. The pink one leaves a lovely sheer pink tint, but neither of them are very pigmented. That's fine with me, though, because I never expect much pigment from a lip balm. They don't have much of a scent, and they're very smooth and moisturizing.

Here's how much product you get. About the same amount as a standard lip balm. Leave a comment down below telling me your favorite shade of Baby Lips lip balm so I can try it!

Maybelline Baby Skin

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Review

Ever feel like your pores are too big and too visible? Here's your solution!

This is the Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser by Maybelline. I've found that it works great to smooth over your pores and, surprisingly, it doesn't clog my pores - at least not noticeably or enough to cause acne.

Here's what a small amount of it looks like on my hand before rubbing it in...

...and here's what it looks like after! As you can see, it's totally invisible, so it'll work with any skin tone. I find it to be a little bit gooey, but it still does it's job, and it even works well as a primer! Although I do prefer my Hard Candy primer, this works almost as well and it blurs my pores. I'm not the best example of somebody with large pores, since most of mine are practically invisible, but I can tell a huge difference when I use it on my nose, where my pores are more visible. You can buy it here for $6.99, and overall, I'd say it's worth the money.
