An Unnecessary Haul

I Did More Shopping That Didn't Need To Be Done

The drugstore has been releasing tons of new stuff lately, and I wanted to try it all, but I restrained myself and only got a few of the new things. I went to WalMart for most of this, but I'll also be showing the stuff I got at Dollar Tree first. My justification for going to the dollar store is that I recently threw out tons of old nail polish, so I need new ones to replace what I got rid of, and the dollar store carries the L.A. Colors polishes I like.

I've been wanting to try the e.l.f. Lip Balm Tints, and my local Dollar Tree had a bunch in the shade Grapefruit. I've heard good things about these, and I wanted to see if they were comparable to the Nivea lip butters.

I'm running out of nail polish remover so I got some more, and I'm trying out the strengthening kind this time because I have the crappiest nails ever and I want to do something about it. I don't know how much it will help since in the past nail hardeners haven't done much at all but I'm willing to try it since it's a dollar and will still at least work for removing polish.

I don't tend to wear fake nails because I find them irritating, but I thought these ones were super cute and I could wear them for a special occasion if I wanted longer nails that day. They don't come with glue, but I already have some.

Since I got rid of so much nail polish, I figured getting three new ones wouldn't be excessive. The blue and coral seem like nice summer shades, and the red seems like a red I would actually wear since I don't tend to go for bright reds and this one is on the darker side.

I got more candles at WalMart! Because I totally need more candles! These ones smelled super good though, and they were on sale for $3.00 USD. I don't know if they'll actually make the entire room smell good like a Yankee candle does, but they'll be pretty.

This is the other candle I got. I like the first one a bit more, but I didn't want to get two in case I get sick of the scent by the time it's used up. Both of them are more summery scents, but if I like a smell then I'll like it all year long, so I don't pay much attention to whether or not a scent is seasonal.

I've really been wanting to try this Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water ever since it came out and everybody started raving about it. I have the Sephora Triple Action Cleansing Water, but that stings my eyes, not to mention that you get half the product for almost double the price. I'll probably do a post comparing them once I've tried this one out thoroughly.

I wanted to get an e.l.f. Lip Kiss Balm so I could try it out and make a post comparing it and the L.A. Colors Color Balms to the Baby Lips lip balms. It was only $2.00, and the L.A. Colors ones are just a dollar, so if they end up being dupes then that would be great. I got mine in the shade Bare Kiss. I wanted to get more makeup brushes from e.l.f. because I think they're fantastic but all of the brushes I wanted to get were sold out so I didn't end up getting any.

These Hard Candy Velvet Mousse Matte Lip Colors looked new and interesting, so I got one in the shade Sweet Pea. I'm not sure yet if they dry down to a matte, transfer-proof finish like I'm hoping they do, but a review will be coming either way. It was only $6.00 so if it's a good liquid lipstick then that's not a bad price.

I'm running low on my first Hard Candy setting spray, so I got a second one for when that runs out. For only six bucks, it's a really good setting spray that actually really helps my makeup last longer.

I've had my eyes on this palette for a while and I finally decided to get it because it's only $8.00 and I'm feeling a bit uninspired by my current palettes at the moment. It has a really pretty gold-ish shade that I can't wait to play around with. I'll probably do a review post once I've tried it out.

Walmart Haul

A Walmart Makeup Haul

I went to Walmart for a candle and decided to check out the makeup. I had a few makeup coupons, including of for $2.00 off any Maybelline face product, but all of the things I wanted were sold out and they were out of my shade in all of their foundations. I did get a dollar off my face wash and fifty cents off of a "premium" chapstick - I'll show the one I got near the end of the haul.

The first thing I got was a backup of my face wash, since I'm running out and I had a coupon. It was $6.97 USD without the coupon. It works super well on me and really does start to get rid of acne within 12 hours of use. I use this (and moisturizer!) regularly and I almost never get noticeable acne.

I got this E.L.F. Studio Powder brush for $3.00 USD because the one I was using recently fell apart and sheds all over my face now. It's a great brush for applying liquid foundation.

I've heard mixed reviews on this eyeliner and I wanted to try it out, so after I saw that it's only $2.00 USD, I decided to get it. I usually use gel eyeliner but I want to master liquid as well.

I have wanted to try out the Maybelline Color Tattoos for a really long time now, and at Walmart they're only $5.94 USD, so I got the one in Tough As Taupe. I wanted a color that would work under lots of different eye looks since I plan to use it as an eyeshadow base.

Next I got the Wet' n' Wild Color Icon 5 Eyeshadow palette in Tunnel Vision. It seemed like I would use this one more than any of the other ones and I've been wanting to try out more Wet' n' Wild shadows. This was $3.93 USD.

I've never tried out the Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks, and I wanted to, so I got the shade 33 to test out. It was $4.97, which isn't a bad price. I think this is a color that I will wear often.

I have been dying to try the Revlon Lip Butters for so long, so when I saw that they were only $5.97, I got one in the color 027 Juicy Papaya. It seems like a color that when sheered out would be a subtle pop of color.

These two Lip Smackers sets were on sale for about $2.00 USD each, so I picked them up. I've been loving my Starburst Lip Smackers lately and I wanted to have more flavors.

I got my first regular Baby Lips! I have five of the Electro ones, but I've never even tried a normal one and I really wanted to. They're $2.98 at my Walmart, which is about a dollar cheaper than everywhere else I've seen them, so I got the one in Quenched since it's colorless so I can wear it whenever.

I was gifted two Blamtastic Skins lip balms for Christmas and I love them so much that I've already used one up, so I got another one in a flavor I hadn't tried. There was a grape one somewhere but the price wasn't listed, although I assume it would be the same. I can't find the price on my receipt since a few things just say "lip balm" so I don't know which one it is.

Lastly, I got this lip balm because I've wanted to try it and I  had a coupon for fifty cents off, which is actually a lot for a ChapStick. I love normal ChapSticks so I assume this will be even better.

Walmart Haul

Walmart Makeup Haul

I had to go to Walmart to get a few things, so of course I spent the majority of the time in the makeup isle! I plan to do a review on everything I picked up, so let me know down in the comments what you want to see first.

First I got three e.l.f lip stains to try out. There were five shades there, but I only picked up the shades Hot Tamale, Pink Petal, and Nude Nectar. They were $2.00 USD each. I've heard good things about them, and I tend to like e.l.f. products, so I have no doubt that these will be worth the money.

Next I got a 7th Heaven Green Tea Peel-Off facial mask. I have normal skin and I rarely get any noticeable acne, but I still enjoy a facial mask from time to time. This cost $1.37 USD, which isn't too bad. I chose this one because it's good for all skin types and I've heard that green tea is really good for your skin, so I wanted to test it out.

My next purchase was two Rimmel Keep Calm and Lip Balms in Rose Blush (Keep Calm and Rock) and Pink Blush (Keep Calm and Kiss). I don't own very many lip balms, and my lips are always either chapped or peeling (ew), so I got these to try out. At $2.50 each, they're relatively inexpensive, so I got two. I chose them based on what the side said.

Next I got the new (ish) Covergirl Super Sizer mascara. I love having voluminous lashes, and this claims to increase your lashes' volume by 400%, so I purchased it. I'll do a review and compare it to some other mascaras I already own. It cost $5.94 USD.

I already have a few Wet'n'Wild MegaLast lipsticks, but I didn't have these two colors, both of which I've wanted for ages but could never find - so of course I grabbed them! I got the colors Stoplight Red and Dollhouse Pink. They each cost $1.93 USD, and all the other colors I have are totally worth the price, so I expect that these will be too. I'll do a review of all the ones I own soon.

The purchase that I'm most excited about is the Hard Candy Fast & Fabulous Makeup Setting Spray. I've never used a setting spray before, but I've wanted to for a while, so I got this one for $6.00 USD. A bit more expensive than the e.l.f. one, but way cheaper than one from Urban Decay. I haven't heard anything about this one, but I hope it works well.

Next up are two e.l.f. products I've been wanting to try, the dramatic lashes and the blotting papers. I've only used false lashes once before, and I've never tried any blotting papers, but I'm eager to test out both. Each of them cost $1.00 USD.

After that are two e.l.f. eye shadow brushes, which I got because I don't really have either of these types of brushes. One is the blending eye brush and the other is the eye crease brush. I'm trying to build up my eye brush collection, and from what I've heard, these two will be great additions - especially at $1.00 USD each!

Lastly, I bought the e.l.f. Studio Makeup Remover Cleansing Cloths. I've been meaning to get these for forever, so I finally bought them. At $3.00 USD for 20 wipes, they seem to be some of the cheapest makeup remover wipes on the market. My favorites are currently some from Burt's Bees, but I want to try some cheaper ones to see if I like them any better.
